Introduction
Social mobilization is the process of making institutions of the poor and improving their access to social services through graduated empowerment. The three tired process of mobilizing, organizing and empowering communities at the settlement, village and union council level through broadbased, representative, transparent and socially inclusive approaches builds human and institutional capacity at the grass root level affording communities opportunity to play a role in determining their own development needs and utilizing resources for harmonized out comes.
